ATHENS, GA- The Athens Area Junior Golf Tour has completed the Boys’ portion of the 2017 Athens Classic HS Golf Tournaments, presented by National Scouting Report. The Boys’ event was conducted on Saturday March 11th at the University of Georgia Golf Course.

The field was made up of 21 6-person teams, plus 6 medalist-only competitors; with a total field of 132 high school golfers from around the state. And following a perfect day for golf on a superior golf course – along with an exceptional field of players – the Wolverines of Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, GA (coach Jimmy Phillips) claimed the Team title, firing a 297 to win by a commanding 6 strokes over the Ramblers of Lafayette HS in Lafayette, GA (coach Tom Langford). The 4 counting scores for Prince Avenue were 67 (Will Kahlstorf), 75 (Bradley Lastinger), 76 (Peyton Shedd), and 79 (Reid Baker). JonErik Alford of Mt. Pisgah Christian School was Low Medalist with a 66.
